A robbery suspect who saw himself and his accomplice in surveillance photos released by the Fairfax County Police Department has turned himself in.

Rodrigo Mercado Rifarace, 19, of Springfield, contacted the police after seeing photos of himself circulating on social media.

The robbery happened in Annandale on the morning of April 4 near Patriot Drive and Heritage Drive. Rifarace and Ariel Alvarado Camacho, 20, of Alexandria, had arranged to meet the victim to buy a videogame he was trying to sell. Instead, they implied they had a weapon, took the game, and fled.

In other crime news, children on a school bus were subjected to an indecent exposure incident in Annandale at about 1:30 p.m. on April 10, according to the FCPD.

When the bus was stopped at a red light at Braddock Road and Roberts Road, the kids on the bus caused a commotion, pointing to a black four-door sedan in the adjacent lane. The driver then noticed the driver of the sedan was masturbating. He was described as a white man in his 30s wearing dark green cargo pants and a vest.
