Select schools offer free meals this summer

School is out for the summer, but children are welcome to come back for the Summer Food Service Program.
Fairfax County is offering free breakfasts and/or lunches at 31 schools countywide. The meals are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Children must remain on-site while eating.
Here’s the schedule for schools in the Annandale/Mason District area:
Annandale High School – July 7-25. Breakfast 9-10 a.m.; lunch noon-1 p.m.
Annandale Terrace Elementary School – July 2-25. Breakfast 9-10 a.m.; lunch noon-1 p.m.
Beech Tree ES – June 30-July 24. Breakfast only, 9-10 a.m.
Glasgow Middle School – June 23-June 30, July 19-Aug. 8. Breakfast 9-10 a.m.; lunch noon-1 p.m.
Glen Forest ES – June 16-Aug. 15. Breakfast 9-10 a.m.; lunch noon-1 p.m.
Justice High School – July 7-25. Breakfast 7:30-8 a.m.; lunch 1-2 p.m.
Mason Crest ES – June 30-July 24. Breakfast 9-10 a.m.; lunch noon-1 p.m.
Parklawn ES – July 7-25. Breakfast 9-10 a.m.; lunch noon-1 p.m.
Poe Middle School – June 30-July 31. Breakfast 9-10 a.m.; lunch noon-1 p.m.
Meals will not be provided on July 4.
Breakfast includes cereal, milk, and fruit or 100% fruit juice. Lunches include an entrée (such as a sandwich, burger, vegan burger, or cheese pizza), a vegetable, fruit, craisins, and milk.
