Shawarma Taco is coming to Annandale

Over a year ago, the owner of a property in Annandale told us they were planning to open a Shawarma Taco restaurant and accounting firm by the end of 2024 in a building undergoing renovations at 4201 Annandale Road.

The renovations are still underway, although a sign is up announcing Olwan, Ghannam & Associates Accounting & Tax Group. Fozan Ghannam, the company’s CEO, blames the delay on “problems with the county” and said he is unsure when the project will be completed.

Ghanam is moving his business to Annandale from its current location on Leesburg Pike in the Skyline area in Bailey’s Crossroads.

The menu at the restaurant will be similar to the one at Shawarma Taco in the Springfield Town Center. That restaurant serves shawarma sandwiches, tacos, falafel, rice and meat platters, quesadillas, guacamole, hummus, and fries.
