Show off your dog at the Taste of Annandale pet contest
Does your dog have what it takes to dominate the catwalk at a fashion show?
Show off your furry fashionista at the pet contest at the Taste of Annandale on Sept. 21. Sign up here.
The Taste of Annandale is 10:30-6 p.m. at the Eileen Garnett Civic Space, 7200 Columbia Pike, in the center of Annandale.
The pet parade and pet contest will be one of the most fun events at the Taste, which also features food, music, dance, a 5K run, children’s entertainment, beer and wine, vendors, and a chili cookoff.
The pet parade and costume contest, scheduled for 2 p.m., is hosted by Taste of Annandale sponsor and local realtor Jamie DeSimone of the Homes for All Real Estate Team with Keller Williams Capital Properties.
The categories for the pet costume contest are:
- Best in show
- Best human/pet duo
- Funniest
For a prize, one of the judges, Daniel Ramos, the founder and CEO of Snouts & Stouts, is donating a three-month membership at Snouts & Stouts, an indoor dog park and bar in Arlington.
Cats, iguanas, guinea pigs, and other pets are welcome to participate, too.
The event will start with a parade through the festival and will conclude with judging, awards, and photos on the stage.
