The Taste of Annandale isn’t just for people.
Dress up your dog (or other pet) and take part in the Taste of Annandale pet contest to win a prize.
The Taste of Annandale is this Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Eileen Garnett Civic Space at 7200 Columbia Pike.
The pet parade and costume contest, scheduled for 2 p.m., is hosted by Taste of Annandale sponsor and local realtor Jamie DeSimone of the Homes for All Real Estate Team with Keller Williams Capital Properties.
The categories for the pet costume contest are:
- Best in show
- Best human/pet duo
- Funniest
Prizes include a three-month membership at Snouts & Stouts, an indoor dog park and bar in Arlington, and gift cards.

The event will start with a parade through the festival and will conclude with judging, awards, and photos on the stage.
Dogs should be on a leash, well-behaved, and fully vaccinated. Humans are responsible for poop pickup.
