Snow day called for tomorrow
Updated: All FCPS schools and central offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26.
All extracurricular, after-school, and athletic programs are also canceled, as well as non-FCPS activities on school grounds.
School Age Child Care and Beyond the Bell centers will also be closed on Monday.
Fairfax County government offices, libraries, courts, rec centers, park facilities, and the I-66 Transfer Station are closed on Monday.
County trash and recycling services will be suspended on Monday. Pickups scheduled for Monday will be done on Tuesday. Pickups for the rest of the week will be delayed by one day.
Fairfax Connector service is suspended on Monday.
Is it just me? The snow clearing is truly pathetic. Is this what our higher property taxes are paying for? In northeast, contract plowers are practical because the operators know what they’re doing vs the amigos who rent a plow and throw it on a broken down pick-up. Who is making these awful decisions… zmod during a pandemic, parking and zoning enforcement ignored, lake Accotink to a swamp, and snow removal train wreck.
