Spotlight by Starlight concerts start in June

Mason District’s Spotlight by Starlight concerts start on June 14 with the City of Fairfax Concert Band at the amphitheater in Mason District Park.

Free concerts will be held at Mason District Park at 6621 Columbia Pike in Annandale every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday at 7:30 p.m. through Aug. 18.

The popular Tom Paxton and the DonJuans folk group will perform on June 16, and Izis La Enfermera De La Salsa should get the audience on their feet with salsa, merengue, and bachata on June 19.

There are children’s shows on Saturdays at 10 a.m. at Mason District Park, beginning June 22 with Groovy Nate.

The Spotlight by Starlight series also features music and dance from around the world on Saturday evenings at 7:30 at Ossian Hall Park, 7900 Heritage Drive, Annandale.

The first shows at Ossian Hall Park are Taiwan Cultural Heritage Night on June 15 and Indonesian Cultural Heritage Night on June 22.
