Summer concert schedule finalized

The Fairfax County Park Authority has finalized the schedule of summer concerts.
The Spotlight by Starlight series includes free concerts twice a week – Friday and Sunday evenings – at Mason District Park. That’s a reduced schedule from previous years, when concerts were held three times a week.
The following shows start at 7:30 p.m. in the amphitheater:
June 20 – City of Fairfax Concert Band.
June 22 – Washington Balalaika Orchestra.
June 27 – The U.S. Navy Band Sea Chanters.
June 29 – Zachary Smith & The Mardi Gras Kings.
July 6 – The U.S. 257th Army Band.
July 11 – Good Shot Judy.
July 13 – Pat McGee.
July 18 – Cathy & Marcy’s Old Time Coalition.
July 20 – City of Falls Church Concert Band.
July 25 – The NOVA Symphony Orchestra.
July 27 – Project Locrea.
Aug. 1 – The British Invasion Years.
Aug. 3 – The Grandsons.
Aug. 8 – Ocho de Bastos.
Aug. 10 – Eric Scott Trio.
Aug. 15 – King Teddy.
Aug. 17 – Justin Trawick and The Common Good.
The Spotlight by Starlight series also includes the following cultural heritage performances on Saturdays, 7:30 p.m., at Ossian Hall Park at 7900 Heritage Drive, Annandale:
June 14 – Taiwan Cultural Heritage Night: Hai Hua Community Center.
June 21 – Bavarian Cultural Heritage Night: Alt Washingtonia Schuhplattler Verein.
June 28 – Irish Breakfast Band.
July 5 – West African Cultural Heritage Night: Soul in Motion.
July 12 – Bolivian Cultural Heritage Night: Ballet Folklorico Boliviano Nuestras Raices.
July 18 – Peruvian Cultural Heritage Night: Centro Cultural Peru.
July 26 – Indonesian Cultural Heritage Night: Santi Budaya
Aug. 2 – Kaira Ba: the music of Senegal.
Aug. 9 – Vietnamese Cultural Heritage Night: Prelude Chamber Ensemble.
Aug. 16 – Chinese Cultural Heritage Night: Hai Hua Community Center.

Although not part of the Spotlight by Starlight series, children’s shows will also be held at Wakefield Park in Annandale on Saturdays at 10 a.m.:
