Summer concerts scheduled

The Fairfax County Park Authority has posted a preliminary schedule of summer concerts in the Spotlight by Starlight series in Mason District.
The following free concerts will be held at the amphitheater in Mason District Park on Friday and Sunday evenings at 7:30 p.m.:
June 20 – City of Fairfax Concert Band.
June 22 – Washington Balalaika Orchestra.
June 27 – The U.S. Navy Band Sea Chanters.
July 6 – The U.S. 257th Army Band.
July 11 – Good Shot Judy.
July 13 – Pat McGee.
July 27 – Project Locrea.
Additional performances are expected to be announced later this month.
The Spotlight by Starlight series also includes cultural heritage performances on Saturdays, 7:30 p.m., at Ossian Hall Park at 7900 Heritage Drive, Annandale. So far, the Park Authority has announced these shows:
June 14 – Taiwan Cultural Heritage Night: Hai Hua Community Center.
June 21 – Bavarian Cultural Heritage Night: Alt Washingtonia Schuhplattler Verein.
July 5 – West African Cultural Heritage Night: Soul in Motion.
July 12 – Bolivian Cultural Heritage Night: Ballet Folklorico Boliviano Nuestras Raices.
The following children’s shows will be held at Mason District Park at 10 a.m. on Saturdays:
June 14 – Shake It Up Jam.
June 21 – Uncle Ty-Rone.
July 12 – Marsha and the Positrons.
Although not part of the Spotlight by Starlight series, children’s shows will also be held at Wakefield Park in the Braddock District on Saturdays at 10 a.m.:
June 14 – La Musica – A World of Encanto with JChris.
June 21 – Rainbow Rock Band.
July 5 – The Great Zucchini.
July 12 – Mad Science of Washington.
