Lightning causes sinkhole on Annandale Road

A lightening strick created a large sinkhole on Annandale Road and Beechtree Lane Friday morning, WUSA reports. According to WUSA, the Virginia Department of Transporation says some underground Verizon cables, a manhole, and about 20 feet of asphalt were damaged. Verizon is handling the repair of the asphalt and cables.
