Taste of Annandale 5K draws 100+ runners

The Taste of Annandale 5K in Mason District Park on Sept. 20 drew 108 participants.

Patrick Deans, age 39, of Annandale, was the overall winner with a clock time of 19 minutes and 47.76 seconds.

Ethan Borja, a 14-year-old from Annandale, came in second with a time of 21:15.43.  

The third-place winner and fastest female was Hannah Safford, 34, of Arlington. Her time was 21:45.89. 

Hannah Safford, #1004, came in third overall.

Dawn Boulter was the second-fastest female, and Faith McGuirt of Annandale came in third among female runners. Rounding out the top 10: Bryan Song of Fairfax (overall fourth-place winner, David Buntua, T. Boulter, A. Elmamouni, Brian Green, Will Cruz, and Son Tran. See the complete results here.

Following the race, the 5K sponsor, RAMP Performance & Wellness, a personal training center in Annandale, presented medals to the winners.

Trainers from RAMP led warmups before the race and handed out Taste of Annandale 5K T-shirts to all participants.

Representatives from the Jacksons Clinics facility in Burke, one of RAMP’s partners, helped the runners cool down after the race.

  1. I would have run the race but I wanted to watch a demonstration at 11:00 at Taste of Annandale. Not enough time to do the 5k and then drive from the park to giant and find parking at Taste of Annandale. Wish the race started earlier.
