Teen arrested for assaulting officer

A young woman was arrested for following a fight Aug. 13 in the lobby of a business on the 5500 block of Seminary Road in Bailey’s Crossroads, the Fairfax County Police Department reports.

An officer responded to a report of two intoxicated and disorderly women at about 10:13 a.m.

When the officer attempted to take one of the suspects into custody, she began to assault the officer.

After a struggle, Carla Rosales, 18, of Alexandria, was transported to the Adult Detention Center and charged with being drunk in public, obstruction of justice, and assault on law enforcement.

Also on Aug. 13, police responded to reports of a robbery at about 10:50 a.m. on the 7200 block of Arlington Blvd., Falls Church.

A woman was leaving a business, when she was approached by a man and a woman who demanded cash and property. The victim complied and the suspects fled in a vehicle. Both suspects were described as Hispanic; the woman in her 20s, and the man in his 70s. The victim did not require medical attention.

  1. Struggle? She lucky to be alive, I try not to interact with any police for fear of being fatally shot. Surprised that she was not seen as a threat.
