Thai by Thai: another great casual dining option at Bradlick Shopping Center

By Louise Del Maestro

The new Thai by Thai restaurant in the Bradlick Shopping Center in Annandale is a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

The Annandale restaurant, as well as the smiling staff, is invitingly Thai. The menu is priced right for a casual place where you order up front, then sit, relax, and be served. I tried the Drunken Noodles and found the vegetables fresh and the sauce had just the right amount of heat I had requested. The noodles were comfortingly soothing and the portion ample.

On my second visit, I tasted Pad Thai, the restaurant’s specialty and another of my favorites, and it did not disappoint. I have revisited Thai by Thai a few times since, and all the dishes I have tried there are very good. This may just be my preference, but I recommend ordering the steamed tofu instead of the fried if you order the vegetarian option.

Lucky for us, Thai by Thai sits between two good casual restaurants, making this destination the place where everyone in the family can find the take-out of their choice or negotiate a place to sit down and enjoy.

This is the third Thai by Thai in Northern Virginia; the others are in
Fairfax and Sterling, and a fourth is expected to open in Merrifield.

In case you had not taken notice, Flame and Grill, next to Thai by Thai, added some Afghan kabob items to its menu from the former Ariana Grill. It’s all good at the Bradlick Shopping Center.

Thai by Thai is open 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
