The KORUS Festival is this weekend in Annandale

The community is invited to celebrate Korean-American culture at the KORUS Festival this weekend in Annandale.
The event is at the K-Market parking lot on John Marr Drive on Saturday, Oct. 4, 11 a.m.-9 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
The festival features performances by Korean stars, the KORUS Got Talent contest, K-Pop dance, Asian cultural showcases, international food vendors, a job fair, dynamic Taekwondo demonstrations, other entertainment, interactive Koran games, a beer garden, and community information booths.

The highlight of the KORUS festival is a live appearance by renowned Korean actor and singer, Gwang-Huyn Park, the star of “Mr. Trot 3,” on Saturday evening.
Singer, songwriter, and actor Min-Jung Park, who appeared in many Korean dramas, including “Speedy Scandal,” will also perform.
There will be a celebration of the Fall Harvest Moon Day, focusing on unity and peace, on Saturday at 6 p.m.
The grand-prize winner at the KORUS Got Talent show, on Saturday, at 3 p.m., will receive $1,000. There will also be a senior singing contest with a top prize of $700.
K-Pop Nights, at 6 p.m. on Saturday and 5 p.m. on Sunday, feature high-energy dance crews and interactive random play dance sessions.
KORUS is hosted by the Korean American Association of Greater Metropolitan Washington Area, with the goal of showcasing the rich and diverse heritage of Korea.
