Tobacco Hut to open in Annandale

Tobacco Hut is expected to open at 7221 Little River Turnpike in Annandale by the end of the month.

The store is already stocked, and a cedar case for cigars is under construction.

Tobacco Hut carries vape products, hookahs, e-cigarettes, CBD products, kratom, and related items.

The store was first announced in July 2021. The “coming soon” sign was subsequently removed for years and was put back last winter. The building was formerly occupied by LoanMax.

    1. It’s a residential building that was converted to mixed-use which is commercial and residential. It’s a small building, your comment makes zero sense.

  1. Any idea what the plans are for the 7200 block of Columbia Pike? After Bon Chon burned down it appears the neighboring buildings are all boarded up.

  2. I’m glad we don’t live in a food desert, but I wonder what it would be like to live in a vape desert…

    1. At least with rampant Bidenflation, the competition among Annandale’s many Vape Stores help NOVA’s Vapers keep a few extras dollars in their pockets for their groceries and other necessities of daily life.

As my favorite President used to say, this is the change we have been waiting for! Woo Hoo!

      1. You’ve never had it so good. You need to take a basic course in economics. When Asian bird flu wiped out 52 million chickens this spring was it Biden’s fault? When petroleum companies withhold its products from the market, notwithstanding the greatest production of oil and gas in the history of the United States is that Biden’s fault? Is this drought, causing massive crop losses Biden’s fault? Is the greed of corporations raising rents, in some cases 50%, Biden’s fault or should he impose price controls as Nixon did and was an abject failure? If you’re paying less for insulin is that Biden’s fault? YES. Contrary to the orange carrots continued lying about he did it? Turn off FOXSPEWS and do research on why prices continue to remain high and you’ll find it ISN’ T Biden’s fault.

    2. Your counterproductive and attention-seeking comments are not welcome here, and your comment is the embodiment of the traditional low-class Annandale resident that generates little-to-no economic value. Nor was your comment in the slightest bit funny, so keep your pessimist and sadistic comments to yourself. I personally view this town, as an outsider, to be a cursed village filled with individuals that have a broken and/or non-existent set of moral frameworks, values, and beliefs that drive their actions, hence a broken local civil society. People on here should speak on the happiness levels of Annandale residents. 98% of people I’ve met here are unhappy and complain about bad gateways to meet other friends/companions, yet they are the root of the underlying problem. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, but if it is, migration is a great advantage in such a big nation with so many options other than Annandale.

      1. What on God’s green earth are you trying to say? I waded through your contradictions, platitudes, and clichés several times, to no avail. You’re saying that someone who doesn’t want more vape stores and predatory lending should leave and be replaced by migrants? And that such a person is low class? Huh? 😆

    1. The tobacco industry is filled with way too many delusional people. The story of low-class America is written on copying the ideas of others, then calling yourself an “entrepreneur,” for whatever that’s supposed to mean nowadays.

  3. We don’t need another one of these places!!!!!! Didn’t they shutdown another nearby location next to the BP gas station on Columbia Pike less than a year ago? It is unbelievable that we keep getting these businesses in our community. We don’t want SO many concentrated in the same area. Completely unnecessary.

    1. How about you buy this property and then open up a “necessary” business for the community?

It’s easy to complain when you have no money on the line. Sure, I would love it if a dance studio for wanna be dancers of all ages opened up in Central Annandale’s business district, but I’m not risking my time and money opening up that business.

    2. Talk to your local representative about zoning ordinances. I agree, market saturation is extremely high and based on the number of stores I’ve commuting around Annandale, this industry is pathetic. I’ve never seen anyone shop at that one Max store on ColumbiaPk

  4. To everyone complaining, Just think of all the tax revenue that these places generate for spending by the government (federal & state). The individuals that use these products are paying more taxes than the rest of us, so that is a positive. Moreover they most likely will have a shorter lifespan, thus be less of burden to society eventually for government benefits. Alternatively, we could vote to ban these products, if we know that they are bad or could be abused. Can someone remind me how prohibition worked out?

    1. Just look at the Middle East and see how Prohibition has panned out. They live the best lives. Vapes should be banned as with alcohol
