Tomorrow is Election Day
Be sure to make time tomorrow to vote. This Election Day features candidates for state and local offices.
The polls are open 6 a.m.-7 p.m.
If you aren’t sure of your polling place, visit the Virginia Department of Elections website.
Candidates for these offices are on the ballot:
- Fairfax County Board of Supervisors
- Fairfax County School Board
- Fairfax County Sheriff
- Fairfax Commonwealth’s Attorney
- Virginia State Senate
- Virginia House of Delegates
- Northern Virginia Soil and Water Conservation Directors
There’s also a $360 million school bond referendum on the ballot to support school construction and expansion projects.
Be sure to bring a valid photo ID to the polls. Voters who fail to bring an acceptable ID will be given a provisional ballot with instructions on how to submit a copy of a valid ID to the local electoral board. It must be submitted by noon on Friday, Nov. 8.
The last sentence of this article is a puzzlement. How could a provisional ballot be counted for the election if proof isn't due until the Friday after?
Tomorrow will be a day of reckoning. Either Mason will continue its spiral downturn with increasing commercial vacancies, remain in limbo or have promising fresh new ideas to make Baileys relevant again.
Same can be said for FCPS. Either the school board will continue to make social engineering and renaming schools a priority while education scores plummet or there will be a more balanced board to get FCPS priorities back to students and real education.
What's "real education?" What "fake" education are they learning now?
