The Fairfax County Police Department identified the victims killed by a train on June 5.

Diego Arriaza, 28, of Annandale, Yeraldin Pardo, 28, of Lincolnia, and her 8-year-old child were on the elevated train tracks at Lake Accotink Park shortly before 8:30 p.m. when they were hit by a northbound Norfolk Southern freight train.

  1. This is a tragic story and disappointing that a mother didn’t use her motherly instinct and stayed away from the bridge or train tracks and a male didn’t protect a woman and a child having enough sense to not due something only crazy teenagers do.

  2. The important part is the train was not damaged in any way and the train Bridge is fine.
