Two arrested after trying to steal cigarettes

Updated 6/18: Two
men were arrested for larceny and assault at the Exxon station at 6261 Little
River Turnpike in Lincolnia, the Fairfax County Police Department reports.
 


As a merchandise delivery was being made to the
business at about 8:20 a.m. on June 14, one man distracted the victim while
another man removed a carton of cigarettes from the truck.
When
the victim noticed the theft and tried to stop it, the victim was punched in
the face and the two suspects ran away.

Hueston
Officers
found Joshua Hueston and Riheman Elnour nearby in possession of the stolen
goods and arrested them. 

Hueston, 23, of Arlington, was charged with petty larceny and assault. 

Elnour, 18, of Burke, was charged with petty larceny,
false identify to law enforcement, and possession of marijuana.



In another incident, Jason Cornejo, 28, of Annandale was arrested June 17, at about 4:15 p.m., for throwing a box of wine at a police officer, assault on low enforcement, resisting arrest, and having an open container of alcohol. Officers had approached him in response to a complaint that he was harassing customers at a store in the 3500 block of S. Jefferson St., in Bailey’s Crossroads.
