Underdog coffee shop opens in Annandale
Underdog Coffee & Bread opened April 15 at 7109 Columbia Pike in Annandale.
The shop offers the usual coffee drinks – drip, espresso, cortado, cappuccino, cold brews, and latte and mocha variations, for example – plus specialties, such as hazelnut mocha latte, coconut ice coffee, and sea salt cream coffee.
The staff recommends the iced banalatte (it’s like a banana smoothie with espresso) and the peanut cream latte.
In addition to coffee, Underdog offers several flavors of lemonade and iced teas.
There are also several kinds of breakfast sandwiches, bagels, avocado toast, croissants, pastries, and acai bowls.

I just stopped in this afternoon for an iced coffee and a chocolate croissant. The staff was very friendly and the store looks beautiful inside. I am so happy to have this place in Annandale, much nicer than Starbucks and going there is supporting a small local business. The coffee and croissant were wonderful too!
I feel like my deepest desires shared on previous articles were listened to! Coffee cake! Bagels! Very excited to try it.
