Victim of attempted robbery attacked with baseball bat

A man walking in Seven Corners Aug. 13 was assaulted by two men wielding a baseball bat, the Fairfax County Police Department reports.

The victim was walking in the 6100 block of Seven Corners at about 2 p.m. when a red van approached and two men jumped out. One of the men pulled out a baseball bat and demanded money. When the victim showed that didn’t have any money, the suspects hit him with the bat.

The suspects were last seen driving away in the van. They were described as Hispanic, around 20 to 25 years old. One is about 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 125 to 140 pounds, has short black hair, and was wearing a red shirt. The other suspect is thin and was wearing a white shirt.
