Vietnamese coffee shop opens in Annandale

DRiP is in a space formerly occupied by a bubble tea shop.

Annandale has lost one coffee shop but got a new one.

Manoa Bakery Café, which has been at 7326 Little River Turnpike since 2015, permanently closed in late February. The shop is relocating to Centreville.

DRiP Cà Phê, an espresso bar at 4239 Annandale Road, specializes in Vietnamese coffee drinks.

Examples include coffee with sea salt foam, coffee with egg foam (made from sweetened egg yolk and vanilla), pandan espresso latte, and nutella espresso latte.

DRiP’s coffee is made from Columbian, Brazilian, and Peruvian beans processed by local coffee roasters, says manager Duy Duong.

The matcha used in latte drinks is “ceremonial grade,” with no additives or sugar, Duong says. The syrups are made with cane sugar.

DRiP’s also offers bags of coffee beans, pastries, and unenhanced drip and cold brew coffee.

Manoa has closed.
