Volunteer Fairfax honors ACCA volunteer Nancy Moy as a Community Champion

ACCA volunteer Nancy Moy is one of the exemplary Fairfax County residents honored by Volunteer Fairfax for going above and beyond to serve their communities.

The 2026 Volunteer Service Awards were presented to one Community Champion per magisterial district on May 7 at the James Lee Community Center.

Moy contributes more than 500 hours a year to the Annandale Christian Community for Action’s food pantry and other programs to assist those in need.

She helps coordinate and promote food drives, increases community awareness of available resources, and ensures that residents can access essential services.

Moy established a partnership with Food Rescue US – DC to bring fresh produce, baked goods, and other food that would otherwise go to waste to the ACCA food pantry. She also works with the Fairfax Diaper Bank to provide critical supplies to families with young children.

“Nancy Moy’s dedication to supporting food assistance programs and helping families in the Annandale community reflects the very best of volunteer service,” said Mason Supervisor Andres Jimenez. “Through her work with ACCA, she has helped expand access to food and essential resources while strengthening partnerships that support those in need.”

In addition, Volunteer Fairfax honored Craig Dubishar with the Gerry Connolly Lifetime Achievement Award for his decades of community service.
