Woman fatally shot in domestic dispute
Police investigate a shooing on Okla Drive. [WJLA] |
A double shooting at a single-family house on the 9200 block of Okla Drive, Fairfax, on Jan. 6, has left one woman dead and a man in the hospital.
Detectives from the Mason Police District identified the deceased as Donna Pentek, 51, the Fairfax County Police Department reports. The condition of the man, age 53, has been revised from life threatening to non-life threatening.
Police had received a call about a shooting at about 3:25 p.m. from a family member. Pentek was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives believe this is a domestic-related incident and that there is no threat to the community. The home is close to Little River Turnpike, just west of Annandale.
Detectives are attempting to piece together a chronology of the events that led to the shooting. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Det. J. Vickery, 703-246-7800; the police non-emergency number, 703-691-2131; or Crime Solvers, 866-411-TIPS/8477.
Any updates on the shooting? Why no charges so far?
i am curious why no charges have been filed too. I am familiar with the deceased woman and her husband. He is very controlling and manipulative. It's odd that he was shot in the leg. I hope the police have not closed the book on this one.
I would like to know as well why no charges were filed. This poor woman is dead.
