The Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority has made some Metrobus route changes that will affect Annandale bus riders.
The 3A Lee Highway-Falls Church route has been renamed the 3A Annandale Road line, reports WMATA spokesperson Richard Jordan.
The 3A now goes from Patriot Drive in Annandale to Little River Turnpike and along Annandale Road to the East Falls Church Metro station. On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays it will continue on to the Seven Corners Transit Center on Arlington Boulevard at the Seven Corners Shopping Center.
The old route along Lee Highway between the East Falls Church and Rosslyn Metro stations has been taken over by Arlington Transit.
The 26A line, between Annandale and the East Falls Church Metro station now operates every 30 minutes during morning and evening peak periods instead of every hour.
That line connects the Annandale campus of Northern Virginia Community College, Americana Drive, the Ravensworth-Bristow neighborhood, John Marr Drive, Columbia Pike, Culmore, Leesburg Pike, Roosevelt Boulevard, and the Metro station.
