National Night Out brings first responders to neighborhoods to build relationships, forge connections, and share information about crime prevention and safety. It’s based on the idea that when neighbors know one another and trust the police, they will be more likely to report suspicious incidents.
Members of the Annandale Volunteer Fire Department participated in a National Night Out celebration hosted by the Annandale Shopping Center on Columbia Pike.
That event, highlighting shopping center retailers, featured entertainment by students from the Hapmudo martial arts studio, a longtime tenant, and International Dance, which is moving into the former Treasure Trove space.
The Annandale Shopping Center event also included raffle prizes, kids’ activities, information tables, and free hot dogs, popcorn, and frozen treats from Kona Ice and SweetFrog.
