Ara Restaurant on Little River Turnpike slated to close

The Ara Fusion Restaurant is expected to close when its lease expires March 1, reports the property owner, Lambros Magiafas, of Lambros Goldsmiths next door.

Magiafas owns the small retail center at 7137 Little River Turnpike in Annandale that houses his jewelry shop, Ara, and a new Vietnamese restaurant called VinPearl that replaced Mr. Tofu.

There’s a sign in front seeking another tenant, and Magiafas said he’s heard from people interested in the space occupied by Ara.

Freddy Diaz, an employee at Ara, however, said, the proprietor of the Korean restaurant and karaoke bar, who also owns the Miso restaurant at 7410 Little River Turnpike, might want to try renegotiating the lease and staying for another couple of years. “Ara,” frequently used in conversations, means “I know” in Korean.

  1. Not cool, Lambros. This is one of the places that many people, millennials included, come to from surrounding areas. We need to keep as many establishments like that as possible.
