Beer garden to open in Annandale

The last empty storefront at the EastGate Square shopping center on John Marr Drive is going to be a beer garden. That was confirmed by workers fixing up the interior space.

It is unclear whether “Beer Garden” will be the official name of the place, but it has been added to the shopping center’s sign on the corner of John Marr Drive and Little River Turnpike.

    1. A Beer Garden?!?!! Wow! Between here and O My Chiq Bar & Grill which will have an outdoor live music/drinking area, it’s nice that Annandale will have some outdoor drinking/hang out options.

  1. Wowwwww, can’t wait to stop by Smoke & Vapor Planet to get my smoke & vape shop products then go to Beer Garden. Annandale is going up!!

      1. Judging class in the comments section is a sure indicator of someone’s class. Well, I’m excited by the prospect. I just hope it’s not too classy so I can partake.

    1. Unfortunately retail is dead, restaurants are barely hanging on as is (even tho we have some of the best imo), public spaces don’t have commercial rent budget … what business ideas do you have? I’m not anti beer garden; it will most likely be a brewery to avoid food sale laws and that creates jobs

    1. And just why are Korean stores and restaurants USELESS ? Do I detect a bit of racism here? Nah, not in Annandale !!!

  2. Could be fun! It’s a good location away from residential for some nightlife. I remember the old Sunset Grill. Now we’re getting some fun spots that offer something other than karaoke. Proximity to the police station and the easy availability of Lyft & Uber should keep drunk drivers at bay. With Silverado, Cue Club, O My Chiq BBQ and more places serving alcohol we keep it all in one area for easy monitoring.

  3. Let’s see, Dice Burger got denied a permit for an out for done space but the new place gets on, hmm, wonder how that came about. Now the neighbors may have to contend with noice issues.

  4. Could get some tree islands in the giant parking lot? And perhaps some rodent control and health dept inspections in the area behind the buildings?

  5. Two of my favorite things coming together: Korean Restaurants and German Biergartens. I love Annandale!
