Blazin Halal coming to Annandale

Blazin Halal, a fast-casual restaurant offering food “from the streets of NYC,” is moving into the space formerly occupied by Munch & Co. and Yomie’s Rice X Yogurt in the Eastgate shopping center in Annandale.

The shop could open as early as mid-February, says a company spokesperson. It’s located at 4367 John Mar Drive next to Glam Karaoke.

The menu will feature wraps, Nashville chicken sandwiches, salads, gyros, and wings and waffles.

  1. We have really diversified our restaurant options beyond Korean cuisine! I’m assuming the food is halal based on the name. We are blessed to have so many choices.

  2. Terrible location that’s tucked away and hidden. Hope they do better than yomies. They may find staying open later on weekends is good business for people at glam or the block

  3. I agree with J—I really liked Yomie’s but can see why it had to close. There is no foot traffic. You either have to appeal to the karaoke crowd or plan to do mostly take out from that location.

That said, we already patronize Bitez and Hangry Joe’s. It will have to be really good for convince us to switch!

  4. Hmmm, I’m not so sure “offering food from the streets of NYC” is a very good way of appealing to diners.
