Braddock residents invited to Neighborhood College

Braddock residents are invited to learn more about the workings of the Fairfax County government at the Braddock Neighborhood College.
The program is hosted by Braddock Supervisor Rachna Sizemore Heizer in partnership with the Department of Neighborhood and Community Services.
Sessions will be on Thursday evenings, beginning with an orientation session on March 12, 7-8:30 p.m., at the Braddock District Supervisor’s Office at 9002 Burke Lake Road in Burke.
The Neighborhood College will cover demographic trends, how to get involved in county government, strategies for inclusive community engagement, and leadership skills to improve neighborhood livability.
The free program will feature guest speakers, interactive activities, breakout discussions, networking opportunities, and information about advisory boards and other volunteer opportunities.

Can’t believe I’m saying this about a government program, but it’s not a bad idea. Will citizens be able to suggest topics?
