Business Spotlight: GoGoPhoto

Annandale Today is launching a new feature, “Business Spotlight,” offering brief posts about local businesses in the Annandale/Mason District area. If you would like to have your business highlighted, contact us at [email protected].

GoGo Photo, a tiny shop at 7031 Little River Turnpike in Annandale, offers three photo booths operated by customers.

There’s a wide selection of crazy and cute hats, glasses, tiaras, and other accessories to enhance your selfie.

Lots of accessories.

There are no employees. Owner Jay Sung calls it a “self-running business.”

GoGo Photo is the only photo booth shop in Annandale, said Sung, who opened the shop a year and a half ago. He got the idea for GoGo Photo from Korea, where photo booths are popular.

One of the booths, on the right.

He said GoGo Photo attracts a lot of teens, many of whom drop by after hanging out at Tea-Do next door.

The photo booths are big enough to hold a group with as many as 10 people. The cameras take eight photos, and customers choose the four best ones. The booths provide two prints for $8 or two larger prints for $12. Customers can also download photos and videos at no charge but must do so before that option expires in 24 hours.

The store is open noon-11 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and noon-midnight Friday and Saturday.

Hats, headbands, glasses, and wigs.

Despite the lack of staff at GoGo Photo, Sung isn’t worried about people walking off with the accessories. That rarely happens, and if it did, the items are inexpensive and replaced every year.

Sung also owns the Metro by T-Mobile store at 7328 Little River Turnpike in the Annandale Plaza shopping strip.
