Farewell to the old Seven Corners Fire Station. The building has been demolished and the site is being prepared for a new, larger, and more modern fire station.

According to the Fairfax County Department of Public Works and Environmental Services, the $13 million project is expected to be completed in spring 2024.

The new two-story, 13,500-square-foot fire station, at 2949 Sleepy Hollow Road, will have three apparatus bays, accommodations for female staff, energy-saving features, a stormwater management system, and a storage outbuilding in the rear.

The old fire station, built in 1975, was 8,500 square feet and had two bays.
