Construction underway on Annandale townhomes

Land is being cleared on McWhorter Place.

Farewell trees and little single-family houses. Land-clearing is underway at McWhorter Place and Markham Street in Annandale to make way for the Townes at Little River Crossing.

The sales office is in the Windows Plus building on Markham Street.

Sales are expected to open in April for the 43-unit townhouse community being developed by Christopher Land Cos. The homes will have three to five bedrooms and three-and-a-half to four-and-a-half bathrooms. Prices haven’t been announced yet.

The townhouses will be built around this property.

There will be a small community park operated by the Fairfax County Park Authority at the intersection. One property owner refused to sell to the developer, so the townhouses will be built around an existing single-family home.

These houses on McWhorter Place have been town down.

The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors approved the project in July 2020.

The future park is on the corner of McWhorter Place and Markham Street.
