Ethiopian restaurant opens in Bailey’s Xroads

There’s a new Ethiopian restaurant in Bailey’s Crossroads. Yeshi Kitfo opened March 25 at 3400-D Washington Drive in the space formerly held by Nour Resto.

Yeshi Kitfo will offer Italian dishes and pizza, as well as Ethiopian fare, such as shiro, gomen, firfir, and skelka tibs, says, owner/manager Andy Munga. The specialty, though, is kitfo, which is made with raw ground beef and a spice called mitmita,

Munga’s goal is to create “a quiet neighborhood place.” He didn’t make big changes in the building but did add rope lighting and other design elements from Ethiopia.

Nour Resto was one of our favorites and I’m glad they are still going to be offering pizza. Can’t wait to try the Ethiopian dishes.
