Fairmont Gardens kids celebrate Halloween
Halloween came early to the Fairmont Gardens apartments, as families brought their children to a Trunk & Treat event organized by Opportunity Neighborhoods–Annandale.
There was a long line of decorated cars in the parking lot, with costumed adults – including several teachers – handing out candy and other goodies to the children.
Children voted for their favorite car. The winner was a car decorated with a Day-of-the Dead theme by CASA, an advocacy organization for immigrant Latinos.
Three adults won a raffle for $50 gift cards for Home Depot, Safeway, and Target.

ON–Annandale is a Fairfax County program run by the nonprofit organization FACETS. The program set up a council and working groups made up of residents from the neediest neighborhoods. The residents determined the most pressing needs for families in those communities and are working with FACETS to develop programs around those needs.
FACETS all about that equity tho!!!!!
It’s nice seeing Fairmont Gardens in a peaceful headline for once 🙂 hope everyone had a good time!
