Fall Festival this Saturday in Annandale

The Eileen Garnett Civic Space in Annandale is becoming a busy place for fun weekend events.

This Saturday, Oct. 18, Fairfax County’s Community Revitalization Section and the Park Authority are hosting a Fall Festival. The event is 1-4 p.m. at 7200 Columbia Pike.

There will be a petting zoo, fall-themed arts and crafts, seedling giveaways, free pumpkins, a musician (performing 1-2 p.m.), a coffee food truck, a Vietnamese food vendor, and several community organizations.

There will also be an eating contest, featuring bĂ¡nh mì Vietnamese sandwiches and pumpkin pie, at 2-3 p.m. Sign up onsite 1-2 p.m.

Community Art For Everyone (CAFE) will host an art demonstration.

Upcoming events at the Eileen Garnett Civic Space include the monthly NVA Thai Street Food Market on Nov. 16, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and a Winter Festival hosted by Fairfax County on Dec. 6.

Among recent events at that space: the Mason District Art Festival last Saturday and the Taste of Annandale in September. The county has been hosting several events a year at the park since it opened in 2023.
