Flower shop coming to Annandale

The building undergoing reconstruction at 4321 Markham Street in Annandale will be a Flower Palette store.

The shop will offer floral arrangements for weddings, “trunk proposals,” Mother’s Day, and other events.

A call to the Flower Palette store in Vienna says that location is temporarily closed “as our store embarks on a new chapter.”

An application for an addition/alteration to a commercial building on the Fairfax County Planning and Land Use System says Flower Palette is increasing the building’s height and adding an interior mezzanine at an estimated cost of $600,000.  

The building was constructed in 1960. The property, including the building and land, is currently assessed at $1,317,600.

The previous owner, Windows Plus, sold the building in 2024 for $1.72 million. Windows Plus, a former advertiser in Annandale Today, relocated from Chantilly to the Markham Street building in 2017. The company is now based in Warrenton.
