Big crowds turned out for the annual Spring Garden Day and Big Plant Sale today at Green Spring Gardens. It’s going on until 3 p.m.

There are more than 40 vendors selling seedlings, shrubs, and garden supplies. There’s also a bake sale and food truck, and there are Master Gardeners on hand in case you need advice.

Kids can buy a cupcake and decorate it, and in honor of Armed Forces day, members of the military can enjoy a free cookie.

Garden Day is hosted by Friends of Green Spring Gardens, which uses the proceeds to buy plants and support educational programs for Green Spring.

  1. Thanks to the park staff, the volunteers, the vendors, and the patrons for making this such a great event. And, thanks to Mother Nature for giving us such a great day to enjoy!
