Health clinic to open in Annandale

A Patient First health clinic is opening in the new retail building on the corner of John Marr Drive and Little River Turnpike in Annandale.

Patient First offers walk-in urgent care for routine injuries and illnesses, flu shots, and primary care for patients without a regular physician.

The facility has on-site x-rays, lab testing, prescription drugs, immunizations, and occupational health services.

The Richmond-based Patient First company has dozens of locations in Virginia, Maryland, D.C., New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. The closest ones to Annandale are in Falls Church and Fairfax.

That building is on the site of a former Wendy’s and is part of the East Gate Shopping Center.

  1. Until we have the more equitable health care of most other first world countries, this is a good solution for the uninsured. We have enough vape shops & thrift stores.

  2. Helpful to finally know the plan. Why was this a big secret? Oh because it’s another service for poor people and it’s slowly changing Annandale into Lincolnia and Baileys.

  3. Patient first is not cheap. It’s not another source to serve the poor. I am fully covered by insurance, not poor and use Patient first when primary care can’t get me an appointment or when my kids needed a quick X-ray compared to going to the emergency room. As well, you still use your deductible or copay for the service which can be 100.00 or above.
