Jake’s popcorn shop opens in Seven Corners
Jake’s Gourmet Popcorn opened Aug. 7 in the Seven Corners Shopping Center. It’s on the upper level between the Vacuum Center and Michael’s.
Jake’s offers just a few flavors for the soft opening but will add many more later when the staff gets up to speed.
Current flavors include caramel corn, kettle corn, cheddar, white popcorn with cheddar, “movie popcorn” (butter and salt), and Oreo (with pieces of Oreos mixed in).
Caramel corn has butter. Kettle corn has caramel but no butter so it’s vegan.

Prices range from $2 for a quarter-cup “taste,” to $7.50 for a four-cup serving, to $20 for a 20-cup party bucket.
The owner, Robin Rinearson, is an advocate for those with different abilities, so most of the employees would have trouble getting a job anywhere else. That’s the same model Rinearson is using at her other shop, Jake’s Ice Cream in Barcroft Plaza.
Jake’s Gourmet Popcorn is open from noon to 8 p.m. seven days a week.

I love “Jake’s” ice cream — so for sure “Jake’s” pop corn will be super – yummy also.

I’m so excited to see Robin open up another great facility for people who are special needs. Those who know her, know that she is a true hidden gem in our community. We are so excited to see it open!
What a great asset for 7 Corners and what a wonderful way to offer training and employment to those with special needs. I hope Jake’s popcorn shop will be as big a success as Jake’s Ice Cream.

Had the popcorn today, it was yummy!
I was excited to see that the store finally opened. I got sour cream & chives, and oreo — delicious!
