Jet’s Pizza opens in Annandale
Jet’s Pizza opens today at 7026 Columbia Pike in the Annandale Shopping Center.
Jet’s features Detroit-style deep-dish pizza, which is similar to Chicago pizza but is baked in a rectangular pan. That tends to make a better crust, says General Manager Bronson Parry.
The shop has no seating, so it’s carryout and delivery only.
Jet’s also offers hand-tossed round, thin, gluten-free, and cauliflower-crust pizzas. Parry recommends the “bold pepperoni” pizza with smaller, spicier pepperoni.
Other items on the menu include wings (regular and boneless), salads, cheese bread, calzone-style sandwiches, and for dessert, chocolate chip cookies, brownies, and cinnamon sticks.
Jet’s Pizza is open 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
It’s in a space formerly occupied by H&R Block, which moved to another spot in the same shopping center.
The Jet’s Pizza in Annandale is only the second one in the D.C. area. The other one is on Glebe Road in Alexandria. There’s also a Jet’s in Virginia Beach. There are 166 in Michigan where the chain originated.
Eugene Jetts founded Jetts Party Shoppe and Pizzeria in Sterling Heights, Mich., in 1978. The company changed its name to Jet’s Pizza in 1985, and established its first franchised store in 1998.
I have never tried your pizza hopefully I will good luck and congratulations
They hope so too!!
Finally, I don’t have to drive to Arlington anymore to satisfy my wife’s craving of Jet’s pizza! She grew up in Michigan. LOL! If you like deep dish pizza, Jet’s is very good.
We had their deep dish pizza the other night and it was AMAZING! I heated some leftovers the next day in the oven and it was still crispy and delicious. Such a great new asset to Annandale.
Welcome to VA! Jet’s is fantastic, my go-to pizza, great service to match. Give it a try, I promise you won’t be disappointed.
