Lego life-size interactive experience coming to Seven Corners

A Lego set with Smart Play Technology [Lego]

The Target on Arlington Boulevard in Seven Corners is hosting a Lego Star Wars immersive experience in the parking lot on Sunday, April 19, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

The free event will introduce Lego’s new Smart Play Technology, while allowing guests to explore a life-size interactive Star Wars world based on Lego’s new technology. Guests will be able to make and take home a Lego Star Wars character while supplies last.

Smart Play systems have “smart bricks” and “smart minifigures” that play sounds.and react to players’ touch. The Lego sets are powered by a Lego Smart Brick packed with sound and light sensors, accelerometers, a color-recognition scanner to sense its surroundings, and a miniature speaker.

  1. for those who plan on attending its a very mediocre technology and increases the price of the lego sets they are included in.. the sounds are synthesized sounds meaning there isn’t music or intelligible speech, just noises.
    14 minute battery life too
