‘Lots of interest’ in vacant bank building

This building in central Annandale is available to rent.

There is “lots of interest” in two vacant spaces in the former Bank of America building at 7220 Columbia Pike in Annandale, says real estate agent Michael Falcone of Century 21 Commercial New Millenium.

There are two spaces in the building. A 3,952-square-foot space on the first floor with a 22-foot ceiling is available to lease at $35 per square foot. A 750-square-foot office space is $16 per square foot.

Falcone says businesses that have expressed interest in the building include a grocery market, banks, cafés, bakeries, and an aerial aerobics company. He doesn’t think the space will be leased to a vape or hookah shop.

This space was formerly a Bank of America branch.

“Because Annandale is inside the beltway and luxury homes are being built in the surrounding area, the potential for Annandale and the submarket is tremendous,” Falcone says. “In the next five years, we will see big changes for the better.”

There are 60 parking spaces, a bank vault, and the potential for drive-through service.

The structure was built in 1952. It was originally a Safeway. When the bank moved in in the late 1980s, the property was subdivided. Part of the building has been leased to Honey Pig Korean BBQ and Da In Café & Karaoke. Those businesses would remain.
