Fairfax County Officers arrested a man for armed hijacking in the 7000 block of Columbia Pike in Annandale at around 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 5.
The victims reported that the suspect had displayed a gun and demanded they get out of the car, a 2020 Chevrolet Trax. The victims exited their vehicle, and the suspect fled before officers arrived. No one was injured.
Officers located the vehicle a short time later and took the suspect into custody near Tysons.
Knorr Hunter, 24, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with carjacking and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and was held on no bond.
Great job getting this suspect.
My daughter Christine dated Knorr in high school. He was a phenomenal rower and Eagle Scout who was bound for a top ten school. I think something was wrong at home, but he never went into details. Sad to see this story and I wish him the best.
