Man arrested for commercial robberies

Both Rainbow Catering and the Manoa Bakery Cafe were robbed on June 14.

Fairfax County Police arrested a 19-year-old man for multiple commercial robberies in Annandale during the past few weeks.

Juan Mancia Ramirez of Annandale was charged with seven counts of burglary, six counts of petit larceny, and destruction of property. He was held on no bond.

The affected businesses are:
• Safeway, 2414 Little River Turnpike – May 26
• Starbucks, 2414 Little River Turnpike – May 26
• Bakery O’Bread, 7867 Heritage Drive – June 12
• Hunan Heritage restaurant, 7869 Heritage Drive – June 12
• Beauty City Cosmetics, 4115 John Marr Drive – June 14
• Goodwill, 7031 Columbia Pike – June 14
• Manoa Bakery Café, 7326A Little River Turnpike – June 14
• Rainbow Food Catering, 7326B Little River Turnpike –June 14
• Annandale Dollar & Gift Store, 7253 Maple Ave. – June 14

In each case, someone broke the front glass doors of the business, took cash, and left on a bicycle.

On June 15, an employee from one of the businesses recognized an individual matching the description from surveillance footage.

  1. Gosh, I wonder if that is the guy that robbed the M & T Bank about 3 times a few years ago and fled on a bike?
