Metal store to open in Mason District

Need metal? Metal Supermarkets is opening a branch in the Alexandria area of Mason District this month.

The store sells all kinds of metal, including hot-rolled steel, cold-rolled steel, aluminum, stainless steel, alloy steel, brass, bronze, copper, galvanized steel, tool steel, and rare/exotic metals.

The products come in a variety of shapes, such as bar, tube, sheet, plate, and structural. Orders are cut to meet the customer’s needs.

The shop, at 6460 General Green Way, is close to the future Balian Springs spa.

Metal Supermarkets calls itself “the world’s largest supplier of small-quantity metals,” offering more than 8,000 products, shapes, and grades in stock, with competitive prices and same-day pickup or local delivery.

There are about 90 Metal Supermarkets in the U.S., Canada, and England.
