New Middle Eastern carryout spot opens in Annandale
A Middle Eastern place, called Basil, has moved
into the old New York Pizza Factory Plus space at 7254 Columbia Pike in
Annandale.
Basil had a soft opening last week, and owner Khalil Dib anticipates
a grand opening in December.

The menu features such Middle Eastern classics as shawarma, falafel,
tabouli, hummus, meat pies, spinach pies, and baklava. The place is too small for
seating, so it’s carryout and delivery only.
Everything at Basil is made fresh in-house, says Dib, who is
also a partner with Café Fumee, a restaurant and hookah bar next door.

Will Cafe Fumee allow food from Basil, or even order food from Basil to be delivered to you in Fumee?
Khalil Catered Many dinners for me. If you ever miss your moms cooking, you have to try his food. Hands down one of the best in the area.
