New store in Seven Corners specializes in Japanese pop culture

Ebisu Life Store, a new retailer in the Seven Corners Shopping Center, specializes in pop culture items and snacks from Japan.

Ebisu is located in the former JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts space between the UPS Store and the Vacuum Center.

There’s a huge selection of Pokemon and Sanrio products at Ebisu, even Hello Kitty toilet paper.

The store has anime figures, several aisles full of Asian snacks, claw games, plushies, toys, Korean skin care products and cosmetics, cute tableware, backpack clips, stationery, and frozen treats. For $10, you can get a surprise bag full of snacks.  

Ebisu offers prizes to customers who post photos or videos inside a store on TikTok or Instagram that generate a certain number of likes.

Ebisu was founded in Osaka in 2013. The store in Seven Corners is the only Ebisu Life Store in Virginia. There are three in Maryland and one each planned for D.C. and Maryland.

Another Asian lifestyle store, Teso Life, is coming to the Wilston Shopping Center in Seven Corners. Teso stocks the same kind of items as Ebisu but has a broader selection of household goods.
