If you’re not up to celebrating New Year’s Eve in D.C. or National Harbor, there are plenty of options closer to home:

JV Restaurant – Wicked New Year’s Eve Party, 6666 Arlington Blvd., Falls Church, Wicked Jezebel starts playing at 9 p.m.

Greenhouse Bistro – 2070 Chain Bridge Road, Tysons, doors open at 9. Upscale dress code. Live band, DJs.

Inca Social – Cocktails Around the World, 3670 Avenir Place, Dunn Loring, 5 p.m.-1 a.m.

Marriott Hotel – 3111 Fairview Park Drive, Falls Church, 4 p.m.-3 a.m. Hosted by the Brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. DJs, live jams, breakfast buffet.

Watch Night, City of Falls Church – 100 block of W. Broad Street, 7-12 p.m. Outdoor and indoor family-friendly activities, including live entertainment, rock-climbing wall, facepainting, fire pits.

First Night Alexandria – Multiple locations in Old Town Alexandria, 2-12 p.m. A family-friendly event with music, dance, comedy, magic, and fireworks.

If you are going to D.C. to party, Metro can help you get home. It’s extended its hours to 2 a.m. on Dec. 31.
