  1. It’s not just pedestrians even just being in your car on Fairfax County roads is becoming very dangerous. Speed and distraction I think are main factors. I have been hit and almost hit again just sitting at the stop light . I’ve also seen several cars totally ignore the red light at fire houses driving right thru before the trucks come out . Seems to be a “free for all ” when it comes to laws on our roads right now. They say they are cracking down on this I hope so before more people are badly hurt or killed .

  2. Bad drivers abound. I see them speed up instead of pulling over for an emergency vehicle. I see them drive in the rain with no lights on. I see them turn corners and change lanes without using turn signals.

If only the dead pedestrians could still see them.

  3. Decades ago when in grade school there was a public service campaign about pedestrian safety. The message was simple and memorable (obviously)…“look both ways before crossing because you could be right. Dead right.”

  4. Agree we have many bad drivers who have no respect for others. We also have pedestrians who have no respect others. It wasn’t like this 20-30 years ago. What changed?

  5. Driving today, making a right turn on Seven, from Patrick Henry-green light.
Big as life, two pedestrians, walking across Patrick Henry-RED light-NO Walk Pedestrian!!
Here I am concerned about pedestrians crossing Seven-legally!! And The Pedestrians crossing Patrick Henry are illegal!! BAD
