Police arrest NY man for package thefts

Fairfax County Police officers arrested a man on June 25 for a recent string of package thefts in Annandale and Springfield.

Just before 1 p.m., a patrol supervisor from the Mount Vernon Police Station spotted a man riding an e-scooter along Sherwood Hall Lane in Hybla Valley who matched the description of a suspect wanted for multiple package thefts.

Luis Sena, 25, of New York, was stopped in the 7900 block of Richmond Highway in Hybla Valley, the police department reports.

He was arrested and charged with grand larceny and being a fugitive from justice. He is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on no bond.
